TERMS & CONDITIONS
At Pretty & Co., we are committed to providing an exceptional salon experience in a professional, welcoming, and respectful environment. These Terms & Conditions are intended to protect both our clients and our team while ensuring clear expectations regarding appointments, services, policies, risks, and salon operations.
By booking an appointment, purchasing products, receiving services, or entering our premises, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1. GENERAL TERMS
Pretty & Co. reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions, pricing, services, promotions, and policies at any time without notice.
All services are subject to availability and may be refused, modified, rescheduled, or discontinued at the sole discretion of Pretty & Co. where necessary for safety, operational, behavioural, or business reasons.
All prices displayed online, on social media, in promotional materials, or discussed during consultations represent starting prices only unless otherwise stated. Final pricing may vary depending on:
- Hair length, density, and condition
- Product usage
- Service complexity
- Time required
- Stylist allocation
- Amount of product used
- Amount of hair involved
- Additional services required during the appointment
Clients are responsible for booking the correct service. Incorrect bookings may result in service modifications, additional charges, shortened services, rescheduling, or cancellation.
By booking and receiving services, clients authorize Pretty & Co. to charge:
- Approved cancellation fees
- No-show fees
- Outstanding balances
- Agreed service charges
Fraudulent chargeback or payment disputes may be contested using:
- Appointment records
- Consultation notes
- Signed agreements
- Photographs
- Messages (email/SMS)
- Booking confirmations
- Service documentation
- Payment records
Pretty & Co. reserves the right to refuse, modify, or discontinue any service where hair is determined to be compromised, excessively damaged, chemically unstable, or unsuitable for the requested service.
1.1 COMPROMISED HAIR POLICY
Pretty & Co. reserves the right to refuse, modify, postpone, or discontinue services where hair is determined to be:
- Excessively damaged
- Chemically compromised
- Structurally weakened
- Unstable from previous services
- Unsuitable for the requested service
Where a service cannot safely be completed, alternative recommendations may be provided.
Clients remain responsible for consultation fees, deposits, treatments performed, and time reserved.
2. CONSULTATIONS & HAIR HISTORY DISCLOSURE
Consultations are designed to provide professional recommendations, estimated pricing, and realistic expectations.
All quotations are estimates only and may change once the hair has been fully assessed.
Pretty & Co. does not guarantee specific colours, tones, results, or outcomes. Results vary based on but not limited to:
- Hair history
- Previous chemical services
- Home care practices
- Medications
- Environmental factors
- Individual hair characteristics
2.1 HAIR HISTORY DISCLOSURE (CLIENT RESPONSIBILITY)
Clients are solely responsible for providing complete, transparent, and accurate disclosure of all hair history, including but not limited to:
- Box colour or at-home colouring
- Bleach or lightening services
- Colour removers
- Henna or metallic dyes
- Keratin or smoothing treatments
- Relaxers or perms
- Extensions
- Medications
- Medical conditions
- Pregnancy
- Allergies or sensitivities
- Scalp conditions
- Any chemical services performed by another salon
Pretty & Co. is not responsible for compromised results, breakage, damage, chemical reactions, colour variation, or unexpected outcomes resulting from incomplete or inaccurate disclosure.
2.2 INSPIRATION PHOTOS
Reference photographs are used for inspiration only.
Due to variations in lighting, editing, hair history, density, texture, and maintenance practices, identical results cannot be guaranteed.
2.3 CHEMICAL LIMITATIONS & HAIR INTEGRITY
Corrective colour, blonding, vivid colour, and major transformations may require multiple appointments.
Pretty & Co. does not guarantee that any inspiration image, online reference, or desired outcome can be achieved in a single appointment or at all.
Hair integrity and health will always take priority over achieving a specific visual result.
3. APPOINTMENTS & ARRIVAL
Clients are expected to arrive on time.
Clients arriving more than ten (10) minutes late may have their appointment shortened, modified, rescheduled, or cancelled at the discretion of Pretty & Co. Full service charges may still apply.
Clients are encouraged to attend alone unless assistance is required. Guests may be asked to remain in designated waiting areas.
Repeated lateness will be tracked, and may require deposits or prepayment for future bookings.
4. DEPOSITS
Certain services may require non-refundable deposits, including:
- Hair extensions
- Colour corrections
- New guest colour appointments
- Specialty or corrective services
- Appointments exceeding three (3) hours
- Special-order products or hair
Deposits secure appointment time and are applied to the final invoice unless otherwise stated.
Deposits are non-refundable except where required by law.

5. CONFIRMATION, CANCELLATION & NO-SHOW POLICY
Clients are responsible for confirming appointments when requested.
Unconfirmed appointments may be cancelled without notice.
Cancellations or rescheduling with less than 48 hours’ notice may incur a fee of up to 50% of the scheduled service value.
Cancellations or no-shows within 24 hours may be charged up to 100% of the service value.
Failure to attend without notice is considered a no-show.
Outstanding fees must be paid before future bookings are permitted.
6. PRICING, PAYMENT & CHARGEBACKS
Payment is due in full immediately upon completion of services.
All applicable taxes apply in accordance with Ontario and Canadian law.
Prices are subject to change and may differ from online listings or consultation estimates.
Final pricing depends on stylist, hair condition, product usage, time required, and service complexity.
6.1 PAYMENT AUTHORIZATION
By booking services, clients authorize Pretty & Co. to process payment for:
- Completed services
- Deposits
- Cancellation fees
- No-show fees
- Outstanding balances
6.2 CHARGEBACKS & DISPUTES
Fraudulent or unjustified chargebacks may be contested using all available documentation, including service records, consultations, photos, communications, and payment history.
Clients acknowledge that receiving services creates a binding financial obligation.
7. CLIENT CONDUCT & CHILDREN
Pretty & Co. maintains a respectful, professional environment.
Abusive, disruptive, discriminatory, intoxicated, or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated.
Services may be refused or terminated at any time. Full charges may still apply.
7.1 CHILDREN & GUEST SAFETY
Children are welcome when accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Parents/guardians are fully responsible for:
- Supervision and behaviour
- Safety within the salon
- Any damage caused by children
Children must remain supervised at all times. Salon tools, chemicals, and equipment may present hazards.
Pretty & Co. reserves the right to reschedule or refuse service where supervision is inadequate.

8. SERVICE ADJUSTMENTS & REFUNDS
All services are final sale. Refunds are not provided.
Concerns must be reported within seven (7) days of the appointment.
Only the client receiving the service (or legal guardian for minors) may request adjustments.
8.1 ADJUSTMENT LIMITATIONS
Adjustments are at the sole discretion of Pretty & Co. and do not include:
- Change of mind
- New service requests
- Complimentary upgrades
- Services altered by another provider
- Failure to follow aftercare instructions
Adjustments are intended solely to address the original service performed.
9. RETAIL PRODUCTS
Retail products may be exchanged within fifteen (15) days if unopened, unused, and accompanied by proof of purchase.
All opened, used, discounted, or special-order items are final sale unless required by law.
10. HAIR EXTENSIONS & CORRECTIVE SERVICES
All extension hair purchases are final sale.
Clients must follow all maintenance and aftercare instructions.
Failure to comply may void warranties, guarantees, or eligibility for adjustments.
Pretty & Co. is not responsible for:
- Matting, tangling, shedding
- Slippage or breakage
- Colour fading or variation
- Damage to natural hair
- Results of improper home care
10.1 EXTENSION MAINTENANCE
Clients must attend all recommended maintenance appointments. Failure to do so may result in damage or loss of extensions.
10.2 CORRECTIVE COLOUR & BLONDING
Corrective colour and blonding services:
- May require multiple appointments
- Cannot guarantee identical results to inspiration photos
- May require plan modification for hair integrity
- Prioritize hair health over specific outcomes
11. HEALTH, ALLERGIES & CHEMICAL SERVICES
Clients must disclose all medical conditions, allergies, sensitivities, medications, pregnancy status, and scalp conditions.
Clients acknowledge:
- Allergic reactions may occur
- Irritation or sensitivities are possible
- Chemical services carry inherent risk
Patch testing may be required at Pretty & Co.’s discretion.
Failure to disclose information releases Pretty & Co. from liability relating to reactions or outcomes.
12. MINORS
Clients under sixteen (16) years of age may require parental or guardian consent for chemical services.
For major services, guardians may be required to attend consultations.
Pretty & Co. is not responsible for disputes where guardians are not present during consultation or approval.
13. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Pretty & Co. is not responsible for results altered or affected by any third-party provider after services are completed.
Third-party work may void adjustments or warranties.
14. PERSONAL PROPERTY & ABANDONED ITEMS
Clients are responsible for personal belongings at all times.
Pretty & Co. is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal property or vehicles.
Items left behind will be held for up to thirty (30) days where possible.
After 30 days, items may be discarded, donated, or disposed of without liability.
Extension hair and salon items left behind are considered abandoned unless otherwise arranged.
15. PHOTOGRAPHY & MARKETING
With consent, Pretty & Co. may capture photos or videos for marketing and educational purposes.
Clients may decline at any time.
16. PRIVACY
Personal information is collected for booking, service delivery, and communication in accordance with PIPEDA.
17. SOCIAL MEDIA & REVIEWS
Clients are encouraged to contact Pretty & Co. directly before posting public reviews.
Pretty & Co. may respond factually using documented records.
This does not limit legal rights.
18. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pretty & Co. is not liable for damages arising from services, including:
- Hair results
- Chemical services
- Extensions
- Allergic reactions
- Breakage or damage
- Scheduling delays
- Product use
Clients acknowledge all services carry inherent risk and results are not guaranteed.
19. RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE
Pretty & Co. reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service for:
- Safety concerns
- Inappropriate behaviour
- Outstanding balances
- Policy violations
- Repeated cancellations
- Health or sanitation concerns
20. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms & Conditions are governed by Ontario and Canadian law.
Any disputes fall under Ontario jurisdiction.
21. CLIENT ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
By booking or receiving services, clients confirm they have read and agree to all Terms & Conditions.
Clients acknowledge:
- Results vary
- No guarantees are made
- Risks are inherent
- Hair integrity is prioritized
