Sarah’s journey to opening Pretty & Co. was a blend of hard work, education, and the desire to create something of her own within the salon world. Having competed and placed in both Canadian and North American styling awards, travelled with some of the world’s top stylists to Spain, Paris, and Italy, and has had her work published in several magazines, Sarah is an expert. As a wife and a mother, Sarah has worked to create time in her life to make herself feel pretty and she loves giving that gift to her clients.

During my time in the industry, i have grown to love curly hair and grey blending! When im not in the salon, i love to learn new things about health, wellbeing, and philosophy. I also spend a lot of time coming up with yummy recipes, connecting with nature, and playing classic video games like Zelda .

Over my last few years in the hair industry I have learned to love the art of cutting, lived in blonding and all things hair health and product knowledge. I have a background in kinesiology which I believe is ultimately what lead me into the hair industry. In addition to being behind the chair, I have also worked in the local music scene for nearly a decade. When I’m not behind the chair or enjoying live music, I love to read, hunt for perfect thrifted pieces, spend time kayaking with my partner, and binge a good show. I’m excited to connect with you and have you in my chair.

Mackenzie is a passionate hairstylist dedicated to transforming hair and enhancing beauty. Recognized as one of the top 100 in the student category for the One Shot Hair Awards, she brings a fresh and innovative approach to hairstyling. With experience as an assistant for hair and makeup on Canada’s Got Talent, Season 3, she has honed her skills in high-pressure environments.
As a certified makeup artist and trained in four different types of hair extensions, Mackenzie offers a versatile range of services. She believes that every hairstyle tells a story and is committed to helping clients express their unique identities.

I’ve always had a strong love and passion for art and creativity. I love using my creativity wherever I can and you’ll often find me creating art through painting, in the kitchen baking or cooking, or listening to it through music. My appreciation and passion for art is where my love for hair blossomed. I began my journey at Niagara College in 2022, and I’m continuing it as an apprentice here at Pretty&Co. One of my other favourite aspects of hairstyling is connecting with others. Whether forming new bonds or strengthening existing ones, I love spending quality time with friends and family whenever I can and meeting new faces. I want to be able to bring smiles to people’s faces, and I love being able to make people feel confident and good about themselves. I’m eager to continue learning and growing, and seeing where my hair journey will lead me!

I’ve been passionate about hair and beauty from a young age, so pursuing a career as a hairstylist felt like a natural path for me. Over the years, that passion has grown into a strong commitment to continually learning and expanding my skills, with the ultimate goal of becoming a stylist who never has to tell a client “I can’t do your hair.” I’m especially drawn to working with curly hair as someone with naturally curly hair myself and helping clients navigate what works best for them and what doesn't. Creating vibrant and creative color transformations, achieving beautiful blondes, and maintaining the health of one's hair are all extremely important to me. Whether it’s crafting a flawless, bouncy blowout or designing both classic and unconventional styles, I love bringing each client’s vision to life while celebrating their individuality.
